Did you know that one-quarter of bones in the human body are in your hands and feet? Our feet are sturdy, reliable, and will manage miles. But they are also the limb that is very overworked and under-appreciated. Often the only time they get to rest at heart level to revive is when we are sleeping, so creating a weekly or monthly ritual of giving them a little additional TLC will not just help your feet feel better, but it is going to provide relief for your entire body. According to traditional Chinese medicine, there are and spending a little time with self-massage acupressure, body oils, and salts together helps us feel grounded.
Set your timer for 20 minutes (or don’t, in case you’ve got more time), wear your favorite relaxing playlist, and get ready for a true treat.
Light a candle, Palo Santo stick, or a package of sage to smudge – even if it’s through the daytime, a burning ritual is a wonderful way to set the mood.Before getting your toes wet, remove that may be left with nail polish.
