I have had THREE bottles of pure Neem oil rot and disintegrate the dropper rubber and cap. TWO of them from Swansons brand and another from Allafia. I called Swansons today and told them the packaging needs to be fixed. In the current packaging (one ounce bottle with dropper) it will completely rot the rubber and plastic. If I could post the pictures I have of this mess I would. It MUST be stored upright, and it MUST be used quickly. Within the year I would guess. All other oils I have do not have this issue. I think it might be a chemical reaction to the rubber. Neem is a great oil. It’s very useful for many different things. Yes it stinks, no question. Can’t pet my cat if I get it on my fingers, she hates it. Both the bottles were "expired". Pure essential oils of any sort do NOT expire. This is a packaging issue not a time issue. Still love Swansons. Recently bought another Neem oil from a different company and it’s in a HARD plastic container similar to a cosmetic container. A little tiny pot.

This sounds funny but I read in a pet book to try this by putting just a few drops of the Neem and mix with olive oil and apply to dogs that are licking excessively. My vet was impressed as it worked. Bitter taste but no side effects. It is very emollient and some time I will try to add it to my moisturizer.
